Release Day for COWBOYS DON'T SING

Today is release day for Cowboy's Don't Sing. It is the third book in my Riding Western Style series. All the books in the series take place in the little fictional Texas town of Sunnybrook, TX.

The talented country music singer Loretta Brooks is going through a scandalous divorce, and the media are eating up every dirty detail. All she wants is an escape from the reporters camping on her lawn and a vacation from her life. That and maybe to be able to forget her ex and feel loved in the arms of a real cowboy or two.
Two sexier than life cowboys come to her rescue and whisk her away to their working cattle ranch. Roland and Esteban Carter don’t try to impress Loretta with lies or songs. They are determined to give the space and time she needs to heal, but when she comes on to them they realize this may be the one woman they can love and share their hearts with. She is a perfect fit in their arms and in their home.
None of the young lovers expect the outside world to understand or respect their newfound love, and the secret passion is like a ticking time bomb. How long can it last before the world tears their happy threesome apart?
Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.
Genre: BDSM, Ménage a Trois/Quatre, Western/Cowboys

Length: 92,361 words

Works in progress

At the beginning of the month or at least at the beginning of a new project I like to evaluate where I am and figure out what my goals are. It helps me to be a little more organized and to stay on target for my writing and my life goals as well.

Summer is upon us. The weather is beautiful and the kids are begging for me to take them swimming and everywhere in the world. We played half the month already. As a family we went to the local amusement park and to the beach. We had fun and now it's time for me to pay for it. So it's time for me to get back to work.

I'm going to try and get a book done by the end of this month before my trip to California. Which means I really need to hustle if I want to make that happen. I need to have nearly 45,000 words done to have a novel and in two weeks that breaks down to 3000 words a day. We'll see if I can keep up with that kind of crazy schedule and two energetic kids underfoot.

I haven't written much since May. It's time to get back into my routine of writing every morning. Starting today, even though I only have a 1000 words in so far. All the projects I have going are western romances. I really want to finish up the Riding Western Style series at least on the m/f/m books. There are 3 more m/m books coming next year in the same series.

Works in progress:

Cowboys Don't Play 7k
Cowboys Don't Cry 1k
5 Cowboys for Christmas 2k

Cover reveal for Cowboys Don't Sing

Well I got a really exciting email while I was on my beach trip with the kids. Siren Publishing gave me my book cover for COWBOYS DON'T SING.

It's always exciting to see what an artist has envisioned in comparison to my personal vision of the characters and I have to say this time she did a fabulous job. I love it and hope you do too.

COWBOYS DON'T SING should go up for pre-order in just 2-3 days or so on Bookstrand.com, but at this moment the link to find all my books and check is this one:

Whoot! One step closer...

Here we are on Monday morning. I am one step closer to seeing Cowboys Don't Sing get published. It was returned to Siren this morning. So hopefully it won't be long before the next steps in this process get done. It should go through 1-2 more rounds of edits depending on how much work my additional scene was to go through.

Then it should also have a cover soon. I love seeing the vision of a cover artist bring my black and white words to life. I expect to see some hot cowboys on that book cover! That's always a fun part of the process.

Then it should go up for pre-order around the end of the month.  Then it should go to print only a few months later for those of you who are interested in a copy on your bookshelves. :)

This book had characters from three other books make a cameo appearance. It featured people from Cowboys Don't Sing, Heart of a Cowboy, and Bound By Desire.

Oh, I can hardly wait and if you love a good small town romance, you will want to put this on your to-be-read pile.

These movie characters were some of the people and pictures which inspired my story. :) I love a good cowboy.

The next book in line

Okay I spent all day yesterday working on a plot for my new book, Cowboys Don't Play. So I think it's safe to say that it's the next book in line to be written by me. It will become book 4 in the Riding Western Style book series and will also be a m/f/m menage.

I have to give a shout out to Melody Snow Monroe for helping me. I think I am going to borrow her color coding system to help me make sure I achieve enough emotional conflict and development in the story. This book will also be highly sexual. At least a third I hope will be sexual development and fulfillment. Yeah! I'm back baby. Full steam ahead...

So here's the loosely worded blurb I am working with. Things may change and I may end up re-working the blurb or the story, but this is it so far.

COWBOYS DON'T PLAY

Ten years ago, Stella walked out of Trace and Taylor’s life and neither man would blame her if she never came back, but they always wondered what could have happened if they took up her offer the night before she left. If they shared a night of lovemaking so many years ago as teenagers would she have stayed with two country boys like them?

Fast forward to today and the woman that has been haunting their dreams is standing in front of Trace and Taylor, in the flesh. She needs a place to stay and the entire town of SunnyBrook is booked up and the only place she can go with an open bed is their dude ranch

It’s time she finds out that cowboys don’t play. If she wants to stay by their side they are demanding she play the part of their wife.

Where did May go?

I don't think I worked on my writing for the entire month of May. It's been so hectic just trying to keep up with life. Between the doctor's appointments and arguing with the school over my kids new diagnosis, I just lost all track of my time. She was recently diagnosed as autistic on top of her earlier communication delays. It's been tough and now I look harder at people who make judgments about parents not being able to control their kids.

There is no simple answer or fix it to this.

Autism is a very wide and strange thing. The kids do things that are odd, and tantrum and they annoy people around them. Most people will not understand. Especially when they don't have a special needs kid.

I am not going to apologize for my kid. I love her to pieces but it is what it is and I can't fix it or cure it and it makes me unbelievably sad I can't really help her. We only want the best for our kids and to help them succeed but I can't help this. I can only do so much, like get her speech therapy and professional help, let the schools know, and the rest is up to her.

I worked all month long at the Renaissance Festival which is fun but it is also time consuming when I had very little time already. Then we had some problems come up with my real estate business, which I won't bore you with.

The long and short answer is you aren't getting a whole lot of new books from me until maybe Fall because my writing time was cut to nothing.

I'm working on the edits for Cowboys Don't Sing right now. This is a 90,000 word book which is one of my longer works at this point. It is a sexy menage in a small town called Sunnybrook, Texas. This book will release at the end of June or the beginning of July. It was a great book and the characters really came to life for me. I hope you enjoy it.

I've been sharing some quotes and small excerpts from it over the last week on Facebook and I think it's going to be hot. It's got some characters from previous books in the Riding Western Style series and it was really fun being able to revisit them.

I will post again soon to introduce you to the starplayers of the book. For now, just enjoy this delicious cowboy who helped to inspire my writing.
